MY LANGUAGE & ART JOURNEY
Hi, my name is Leeann Kelly-Pedersen and I'm a Wajarri/Nhanda woman from the Midwest "Yamaji Country". I am living in Carnarvon, Western Australia with my husband Ian Pedersen and our 2 dogs Rocky & Jake. I have just started up painting again after six years. The last exhibiton I have been involved in was "Nganang Badimaya Wangga" Yarning with Gami Ollie George R.I.P. in 2015. What a kind old man with a gentle soul, so much wisdom & stories.Â
I have worked in the past as a Senior Language Worker and have done a lot of work with the Wajarri, Badimaya & Warriyangga languages of the Midwest, also graduated as a Registered Wajarri Language Teacher while working at Bundiyarra Irra Wangga Language Centre Geraldton. I am now taking up my weekends & spare time to continue my Art & Language journey so you will soon see more of my fabulous awesome Artwork.
